Guide to add/group contacts on iCloud

Creating Group for Contacts on iCloud

  1. Go to iCloud.com
  2. You will get a prompt that will ask you to sign in with your iCloud email address, Sign In with it.
  3. After signing in, you will see multiple logos of Contacts, Notes, Calendar, etc., choose Contacts icon.
  4. Click on the + sign that you will see at the left bottom side of the screen.
  5. Now you will see two options, ‘New Contact’ and ‘New Group’, choose the ‘New Group’ in order to create a whole new group of relevant contacts. 
  6. You will get a prompt to name the group of contacts, there you can name your group according to your requirements, for example Customers, Unengaged Customers, Company XYZ, and more.

Adding Contacts to Group on iCloud

It's really easy to add contacts to your designed group of contacts, let us learn how we can do that.

  1. Go to All Contacts on the left side bar.
  2. You can select one or more contacts that you want to add to the group. 
  3. Now you have to drag and drop the selected contacts into the destined group that is visible on the left side.
  4. And there, you have your desired group of contacts ready.

  1. Go to iCloud.com
  2. You will get a prompt that will ask you to sign in with your iCloud email address, Sign In with it.
  3. After signing in, you will see multiple logos of Contacts, Notes, Calendar, etc., choose Contacts icon.
  4. You will see all the contacts on your iCloud, you can search and select the contact you wish to edit the information of.
  5. Once selected, you will see an option that says ‘Edit’ at the top of the screen, click that. 
  6. After clicking on the ‘Edit’ option, you will see several fields to fill information like Notes, Email Addresses, Homepage, and more. You can add or edit the contact information in one of these fields and then 
  7. After adding and editing the contact information, you can press the ‘Done’ button on the right bottom corner of the screen, and you are good to go.

Import Contacts on iCloud

  1. Go to iCloud.com
  2. You will get a prompt that will ask you to sign in with your iCloud email address, Sign In with it.
  3. After signing in, you will see multiple logos of Contacts, Notes, Calendar, etc., choose Contacts icon.
  4. Click on the icon of Settings that you will see on the left bottom side of the screen.
  5. You will see a list of options being popped up. From that list you have to choose Import vCard.
  6. You will see a prompt that directs you to the files on your desktop, from there you can fetch the contacts of your vCard to the iCloud account.
  7. Now all your contacts are imported to ‘All Contacts’

Export Contacts on iCloud

  1. Go to iCloud.com
  2. You will get a prompt that will ask you to sign in with your iCloud email address, Sign In with it.
  3. After signing in, you will see multiple logos of Contacts, Notes, Calendar, etc., choose Contacts icon.
  4. From all the contacts, select one contact or more contacts. 
  5. Click on the icon of Settings that you will see on the left bottom side of the screen.
  6. You will see a list of options being popped up. From that list you have to choose Export vCard.
  7. Now all your selected contacts are exported to the device in .vcf format. 

Guide to Recover iCloud contacts

  1. Go to iCloud.com
  2. You will get a prompt that will ask you to sign in with your iCloud email address, Sign In with it.
  3. After signing in, you will see multiple logos of Contacts, Notes, Calendar, etc., above these icons you’ll see Account Settings, click on that. 
  4. A new page of Account Settings will be opened on the tab, scroll down and move to the end of the screen. 
  5. On the left bottom corner, you will see a few options under the word Advanced.
  6. From the options, you will have to choose ‘Restore Contacts.’
  7. Once selected, you will see a prompt on the screen that will show a number of contacts that have been deleted from your account.
  8. On the right side of the list you will see ‘Restore’, click on that.
  9. And this is how your contacts will be recovered from iCloud.
